This collar is not only stylish but also functional, with the martingale design providing gentle control on the dog's neck and can be effective, when used correctly, in training heelwork. Whilst walking, the collar should sit at the top of the neck, just under the chin, and the lead should be held vertically. This way it doesn’t put pressure on your dog’s throat and trachea, but restricts their ability to pull.
